October 25, 2025
Each October, the Village of Cardington comes alive with the sights and sounds of Halloween during the
annual Friends of Cardington Halloween Festivities. This beloved community tradition brings together families,
friends, and neighbors of all ages to celebrate the season in a safe and spirited way.
Spooktacular Parade
The events kick off with a lively Halloween parade that winds through the heart of Cardington. Costumed
children and adults march proudly through town, delighting onlookers and setting the stage for an unforgettable
night. The Cardington-Lincoln High School Marching Band leads the way, filling the air with upbeat music and
school spirit.
Costume Judging in the Park
Following the parade, everyone gathers at the American Legion Park for costume judging. Participants show
off their imaginative, spooky, or funny costumes while judges award prizes in various categories. From tiny tots
dressed as pumpkins to families decked out in coordinated themes, the creativity never fails to impress.
Trunk-or-Treat
Once the costume awards are handed out, families can enjoy Trunk-or-Treat along Park Street—where local
organizations, businesses, and families decorate their car trunks and hand out candy in a fun, festive
atmosphere.
Village of Cardington’s Trick-or-Treat
Finally, the village-wide Trick-or-Treat begins, giving kids the chance to stroll through the neighborhoods
collecting sweet treats door-to-door.
This fun-filled evening has become a cherished tradition, offering a safe and festive way for children to
celebrate Halloween while fostering community spirit throughout Cardington. Whether you’re marching in the
parade, passing out candy, or simply watching the excitement unfold, the Friends of Cardington Halloween
Festivities are sure to leave everyone smiling—and maybe just a little bit spooked.
